Change Food for Good & NYC SYEP - Cohort 1

Rapidly developed and taught web development to NYC SYEP fellows, ages 14-24, as part of an effort to substitute in-person internships with paid virtual skill development workshops.

Created a 5-week, virtual, curriculum focused on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Command Line basics, git, GitHub, Figma, UI/UX design, web accessibility, and fundamentals of color theory and typography.

A 12-week program providing free technical training to underrepresented individuals in the tech industry. The program is designed to help students gain the skills and experience needed to secure a job in the tech industry. Check out Cohort 4's final projects!

Change Food for Good is a non-profit organization that provides technology education to underserved communities in New York City. I taught a 6-week web development course to high school students in the Columbia University DDC program. I taught students how to build a website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and how to deploy their website using GitHub Pages. I also taught them how to use the command line, Git, and GitHub. The Knowledge House is a non-profit organization that provides technology education to underserved communities in New York City. I taught a 6-week web development course to high school students in the Columbia University DDC program. I taught students how to build a website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and how to deploy their website using GitHub Pages. I also taught them how to use the command line, Git, and GitHub.
